Estimated hashrate · 24h: —
Canonical block work divided by the full trailing 24 hours. Historical samples end at midnight UTC; the last point uses the current shared snapshot. Estimates use block-header timestamps and exclude orphaned blocks.
Blocks observed by this explorer that left the canonical chain during a reorganization, as a share of canonical blocks plus observed orphans.
Competing blocks may be missed, and collection uptime is not verified. These observations do not establish the full network or any pool's true orphan rate.

Share of blocks carrying a software tag, rather than a census of the software miners run.
Software tags are self-reported. Blocks without a tag stay in the total.
Software tags are optional. Zebra added automatic 🦓 tagging in its July 2026 release candidate; earlier tags also exist. A gap means no recognized tag was found, not that Zebra or zcashd was unused. Available coinbase data does not necessarily include a software tag.
Shares use block counts across the selected range, including blocks without software tags and any unavailable tag data. They are neither node counts nor measured hashrate. Empty chart buckets indicate no indexed blocks.
Zebra’s automatic marker arrived in July 2026. Earlier unmarked blocks may still have used Zebra. “Since first marker” starts on its first observed UTC day in this index, not the software’s launch date.
The zcashd category requires an explicit version tag. Multiple software tags and unavailable tag data are tracked separately; an empty optional tag simply means no software tag. Mining-pool attribution and software markers are independent observations.
Zebra marker release notes ↗20-block trailing averages. Timing uses block-header timestamps; unavailable values remain gaps.
How much of their block rewards miners move vs leave unspent. A high moved ratio means rewards changed address quickly; it does not prove they were sold. The ZODL leaderboard breaks each pool's spending down by destination (shielded vs. exchange vs. transparent), showing observed transfers rather than proving sales.
Zcash is secured by Equihash proof-of-work mining with a block target set by the active network upgrade. Pool attribution uses corroborated coinbase payout addresses and recognized public pool tags, cross-checked against ZecMiningPool’s network feed. A pool may use multiple addresses or a shielded payout. Software markers do not establish pool identity, and unidentified miners remain unattributed.
Miner behavior tracks transparent coinbase outputs paid to the tracked miner address. Shielded rewards and outputs to other payout addresses are outside this measure. It records whether those tracked outputs have been spent or remain unspent. This is a moved-versus-unspent measure; destination analysis is required before describing a movement as shielding, exchange transfer, or sale.
